18 Wheels of Steel: Extreme Trucker 2 Highly Compressed is a truck simulation game. It is a major installment in the '18 Wheels of Steel' game franchise. It was developed by SCS Software and distributed by ValuSoft. The Extreme Trucker 2 was released in 2011. All the Extreme Trucker games are connected. The Extreme Trucker 2 is an extended version of Extreme Trucker with additional resources such as new locations and trucks. The game was released for the major platform Microsoft Windows.
The Extreme Trucker 2 follows the gameplay similar to the previous releases. The plot of the game revolves around Truck Simulations. The major objective is to deliver cargo to destinations. The game has beautiful map locations and roads. It has 14 models of the truck with 9 different manufactures. The game progresses by completing objectives. The different scenarios have different weather and road types. Unlike other truck games, the player doesn't own a truck. The player has the role of a truck driver only. He /She searches for new jobs after completing the delivery of cargos. Also, the player can free roam only if he is out for delivery. The game is quite engaging with the advanced gameplay introduced.
The Extreme Trucker received mixed reviews from the critics. The graphics and gameplay are amazingly awesome. But the changed concept of the game from other truck simulation games was not much appreciated. Looking at the technical side the game is totally compatible with low-end devices with no FPS Lag.
